← Snap Up Automation
Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 27, 2026
Snap Up Automation (“the Service”) is software operated by Pragmateia LLC on behalf of SNAPUP PARTNERS to automate buyer-checkout workflows on the @shop_snapup Instagram account. This policy explains what the Service collects, how it uses that information, and how to request deletion.
1. What we receive from Meta
When a buyer comments on an @shop_snapup Instagram post, Meta sends our Service a webhook event containing:
- The comment text
- The commenter’s Instagram-scoped user ID and public username
- The Instagram media ID of the post the comment was made on
- The timestamp of the comment
When the Service sends a private-reply Direct Message in response, the Instagram-scoped user ID is used as the recipient. No other data is collected from the buyer’s profile.
2. How we use it
- The comment text is checked for the keyword “snap” to identify a purchase intent.
- The media ID is used to fetch the original post’s caption from Instagram’s Graph API to extract the item name and price.
- A Stripe Checkout payment link is generated for that item and sent to the commenter as a private-reply Direct Message.
The Service does not display, sell, share, or rent personal data to any third party. The Service does not use this data for advertising or analytics.
3. Data retention
- Comment events are processed in real time and the raw event payload is discarded within 30 days from the Service’s execution log.
- The buyer’s Instagram-scoped user ID is associated with the resulting Stripe payment record (so the Snap Up team can reconcile a payment to the original buyer) and retained for as long as Snap Up retains its sales records.
- No buyer data is stored on the Service’s servers beyond what is necessary to reconcile a single transaction.
4. Third parties
The Service uses these processors on a “data passes through” basis:
- Stripe — to generate per-buyer payment links. Subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
- Twilio (planned, post-launch) — to coordinate buyer/seller pickup texts. Subject to Twilio’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Sheets — to write reconciliation records into Snap Up’s master spreadsheet.
We do not transfer Instagram event data to any other party.
5. Your rights
Anyone whose data appears in the Service can request:
- A copy of any data we hold about them
- Deletion of any data we hold about them
- Correction of inaccurate data
Send requests to diego.perez@pragmateia.com (response within 30 days).
6. Data deletion
To request deletion of all data the Service holds about you, follow the instructions on our Data Deletion page. We will confirm deletion within 30 days.
